It is the inadvertent or uncontrolled release of urine from the bladder. It may be temporary (in the case of cystitis) or permanent (in the case of a neurological injury). CAUSES: 1) In women occurs because the urethra is very short and lost the support that the muscle attached to the base of the pelvis.
